Description

A broad spectrum deworming powder for cage and aviary birds. Highly effective against Roundworm, Hairworm and Tapeworm. Extremely safe, causes no regurgitation and is very economical. Easy dosing instructions. To be mixed with the soft food or seed – special base makes it easy to mix and palatable. May be used in the breeding season. Mediworm is the golden standard in routine deworming. Not water soluble.

Warning: Keep out of reach of children and uninformed persons. Although this remedy has been extensively tested under large variety of conditions, failure thereof may ensue as a result of a wide range of reasons. If this is suspected, seek veterinary advice and notify the registration holder.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry place, below 25°C. Keep the container tightly closed.

Directions for Use

Treatment of aviaries

Mediworm medicated food should be left out for the entire day, and no other food must be fed. Discard unconsumed food daily.

Percentage of food basis:
For use in mixed aviaries where total bodyweight is unknown, mix 5 g of Mediworm Powder with 20 ml of water and mix this suspension evenly with 100 g of soft food or seed. Sufficient medicated food should be available all day.

Weight per bird basis:
For use where pairs are housed individually or where the total bodyweight is unknown. Determine total weight of birds in aviary. Mix 5 g of Mediworm Powder with 20 ml of water to form a suspension. Add 2 ml of the suspension per 100 g of bird’s bodyweight in the aviary, to the amount of food that the birds normally consume per day, e.g. if the total bodyweight of the birds in the aviary is 1 kg, mix 20 ml of the suspension evenly into the day’s food.

Crop Dosing Single Birds

To ensure that an accurate dose is given, birds should be crop dosed only by a veterinarian or an informed person as it could be fatal if done incorrectly. Mix 5g (1 level scoop that is included) of Mediworm Powder with 20 ml of water to form a suspension. Dose 2 ml of this suspension per 100 g bodyweight on an empty crop. Repeat treatment after 14 days and thereafter twice per year.

Composition

5 Gram of Mediworm Powder contains: Pyrantel Pamoate 50 mg, Praziquantel 10 mg in a special base.
